Second Informational Meeting for St. Vincent de Paul Youth House
June 14, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County is hosting an informational community meeting about its developing Youth House program. Members of the community are encouraged to attend to learn more about the program and its impact on the neighborhood.
This is the second such meeting and will have much the same format as the first.
If you’re unable to attend but still have questions about the SVDP Youth House program, you should contact Paul Neville by phone at 541-743-7121 or by email at paul.neville@svdp.us.
About the St. Vincent de Paul Youth House Program
On any given night in Eugene/Springfield about 400 homeless high school students struggle to find a place to sleep. Many end up on the streets, where they are vulnerable to violence, drugs and a thriving human-trafficking trade along the I-5 corridor.
In response, St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County is building two youth homes in the Eugene area. The first, a 13-unit house for homeless teen girls, was recently opened in South Eugene.
A second house, serving 13 teen boys, is being developed on property leased from the Bethel School District at the corner of Avalon and Legacy.
This program is intended to help the young people it houses live safely and independently, complete high school, find secure employment and permanent housing, and seek higher education if desired.
