Active Bethel Citizens’ next General Meeting will be May 15th at Petersen Barn, 870 Berntzen Road, from 6:00-8:00pm.

Refreshments, including pizza, cookies, and ice cream cones will be available. Thanks to Abby’s Legendary Pizza, Pappy’s Pizzeria, Putter’s Pizza, and ThaiTime Kitchen for food, Fred Thomsen for the ice cream for our ice cream cones, and Costco for cookies. Please arrive on time if you are hungry, as there is a limited amount of food.

The meeting will kick off with an update on traffic calming efforts at [insert place here] from Chris Henry and Lee Shoemaker from the City of Eugene traffic department.

This will be followed by our keynote emergency preparedness panel. With Q&A to follow, we’ll hear from Steve Robinson, President of Cascadia Prepared, Keith Blevins with Eugene/Springfield CERT, Deb Jones from the Friendly Area Neighbors, and Joanna and Gary deFelice will be there to talk about HAM radio operation.

We’ll then have 10 minutes for public comment and then committee reports from your ABC representatives. You’ll also have a chance to pick up bumper stickers and lawn signs from the Kindness Campaign.
